036: Women in the Workplace and Growth Minded Leadership
Nov 16, 2022Female CEOs run only 4.8% of the world’s largest businesses on the Global 500. According to one study, women CEOs are slightly older than their male counterparts, in part because it takes them 30% longer than men to reach the corner office. But those who reached the top were often committed to making profound changes at their organizations.
This week on The Employment Experience Podcast, my guest, Amy Clark and I discuss women in the workplace and the importance of a growth minded leader. Amy Clark is an executive coach and Human Resources leader who provides meaningful management and leadership development coaching that drives measurable business results. She founded Growth Minded Leadership Group and has recently published her first book, Growth Point.
In this episode, we discuss
- Why Women CEOs typically have to work harder and longer to get to the top
- How women engage the power of teams to achieve results
- how to build up the next generation of women leaders, and
- The importance of sponsorship of other women up and coming leaders
