The discrimination and retaliation laws protect job candidates at the time of the interview, and even if the person is not hired. Therefore, it is important that employers and hiring managers stay away from asking questions during an interview that may be deemed discriminatory. Many of these questions may seem innocent and might be asked in order to get to know the applicant and build rapport. However, these questions could land your company in trouble.
